We are excited that your child will be joining us as a new Pelican or making the transition from the Nest to the Day School. This page, in conjunction with the general Parent Resources page, provides helpful information as you prepare for the start of the new academic year.
Summer Packets & General Information
Summer is a great time for children to play, read, swim and enjoy unstructured exploration and learning. With this in mind, we do not require specific summer work. We do, however, have some fun suggestions to keep student brains engaged and prevent summer slide. Select the Summer Packet for the grade level your child will enter in the fall.
While our general family resources page provides information used throughout the year, the below documents highlight the most important information for the start of school. The Welcome Document includes information about uniforms, helpful contact information and general supply information (we provide all academic supplies, so you do not need to purchase those).
For families transitioning from the Pelican’s Nest to the Day School (PreK-3), please be sure to look through the uniform guide to review uniform changes and read the bathroom policy to ensure your child is independent in their bathroom needs.
Pelican’s Nest Information & Forms
The Pelican’s Nest is our early childhood program for students 18 to 35 months. Students in our Pelican’s Nest must complete and return the following forms to our Nest Director, Janine Borne (email@example.com). Mrs. Borne sends detailed instructions about each document in early July.
