Tuition Assistance

St. James is committed to providing bright, motivated, curious students with an unparalleled education regardless of their ability to pay. We offer tuition assistance to admitted students in grades PreK-3 through 5th grade. It is our hope that financial awards bridge the gap between what a family can afford for education and the cost of tuition. 

Prospective New Students Applying for Aid: The tuition assistance application opens each year on November 1. Families applying for admission may submit a tuition assistance application at the same time as their school application. A copy of the prior year’s tax returns is required as part of the application. Tuition assistance is awarded to admitted students, and admitted priority applicants will receive their award with their enrollment offer in mid-December.

Returning Students Applying for Aid: Returning families must submit their tuition assistance applications by April 15 for priority consideration. Applications received after this date may be considered based on the availability of remaining funds. A copy of the prior year’s tax returns is required as part of the application.

Gaudet Scholarships

The Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana offers scholarships through the Frances Joseph Gaudet Scholarship Program to support African American and BIPOC students attending Episcopal primary and secondary schools within the Diocese. Scholarships are available to qualifying students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. To learn more about eligibility, please visit the Gaudet Scholarship website.

Gaudet Scholarship Application Process:

St. James submits scholarship applications on behalf of eligible students and works with families to gather the information needed for consideration. Families wishing to be considered for a Gaudet Scholarship must complete a tuition assistance application by April 15 each year. Families are typically notified of scholarship awards by mid-July.
