Dear Parents – We are looking forward to starting Scouts this fall! Scouting has a long history at St. James and we hope you will join us. There are a few changes this year! See below.
Is Scouts only for boys? No! Our Scout pack is open to boys and girls. This is a welcome change for a small school such as ours.
What if I didn’t participate last year? No worries! All students are welcome if you didn’t participate in the past.
When are the meetings? In an effort to make scouting more accessible to all families, we will be moving our monthly meetings to the weekend, most likely once a month on a Sunday afternoon.
Why should my student participate? Character development, spiritual growth, good citizenship, sportsmanship, etc. Eleven of the twelve US astronauts who walked on the moon were scouts!
We are interested! What do we do? We will have an introductory meeting Saturday August 24 from 09:00 – 10:00 in the St. James gymnasium.
