Mrs. Davis' 4th Grade Class

Welcome and "hop" on over to my fourth grade lily pad. My students are "leaping" to learn math, science, and vocabulary.

This year we have new fish in our aquarium. There are three Long-finned Red Minor Tetras and two blue minor tetras.. The tank also has two Otocincluses which are algae eaters and they help to keep the aquarium clean and pretty. The leader each week is responsible for feeding and tending to the fish.

This year, the fourth graders and I are looking forward to working on projects associated with the Fourth Grade State Fair. We are also so excited that for the first time, students can take their laptops home for assignments and research.  We are also looking forward to field trips to the Burden Research Center, the Earth Day movie, LASM, and our "big" trip which will be a surprise this year.

We area excited about introducing Singapore Math to our fourth grade curriculum this year! The program is research-based and classroom tested.  The focus is on number bonds and model drawings using real world concepts.
