Welcome to the Library

Our mission is to be the “go to” place for information and resources so that parents, students and faculty may continue the tradition of excellence, faith and community at SJEDS.  Parent volunteers are essential to our continued success with our students.  Please join us when you can for reading aloud to our classes, for volunteering at the exciting Book Fair or for helping students at the AR Store.

Collaboration between teachers and the librarian foster project-based learning for our 21st century students, incorporating information literacy and the best technology available.

St. James Episcopal Day School is a lively, innovative center for learning for grades Pre-K through 5th grade. Steeped in tradition and excellence, St. James faculty respects the individual student, encourages personal growth and academic achievement, and celebrates families.

At the heart of this beautiful campus is the library, the hub of information,  resources, and support for the parents, students and faculty of St. James Episcopal Day School. The library is under the direction of teacher-librarian, Rebecca Richardson, a certified teacher and school library media specialist with a masters in Library Science from Southern Connecticut State University.
